My First Letter

Salt and Light
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses it saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except and to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.
Mathew 5:13-14

Salt gives flavor, light shines. You are very important because God made you special and put you on earth with a purpose. Have you ever asked yourself what is you real purpose on earth? If it is riches, then go ahead work restlessly, enslave yourself if you don’t mind because you are doing it for your future. Then, when you are very wealthy, enforce your chateau with dozen of bodyguards because you never know, you will need protection. When you get old or even in your early years, want it or not, you will return to dust, you will rot on the ground and no one will remember you. However, if you can reach within your heart and see beyond the wickedness of this world and feel the desire to make a difference either in your life or someone else’s; then you are about to win the most honorable reward ever my friend. The world is falling apart; you can’t even turn the news channel without hearing something depressing. Therefore, it is not the time to enslave yourself with hard work and worries for no man has ever lived a happy life by worrying about everything. Of course you need money because the bills are not going to wait for you, but you need to see also that your life is passing you by and when you die life will go on. Your boss will find somebody else, the bills will eventually stop coming and everything you ever struggled for will stay for people who did not even work for it. For this important reason you need to stop for a moment and think about yourself. Ask yourself, “What can I do to make a difference?”There are plenty of things to do, and there is no situation where you don’t have any choice.
Enjoy your life, protect your health, protect your family, and help others, now that’s a way to a happy life. If you can’t give, encourage. If you can’t write, talk. If you can’t talk, smile; just do something. Make friends, travel, go out, get to know your neighbors, call that person you have been avoiding, forgive your enemies, play music or simply enjoy it, paint the beauty of nature, learn to feel things, adopt a child, help the poor, advise the youth, invite your friends to church, help the abused, pray for the abusers, help the addicts, save yourself and the people around you. When the time comes you can go peacefully for there is no such depart as dying miserably.

I am 20 years old and if you put me under 24hr surveillance I may not be the kind you want to take advice from. For I am a sinner and am not perfect just like every other human on the planet. However, God has blessed me with great inspirations and I want to share them with you. I want to go to heaven and I want to take you with me. Let’s make the journey together, though it is very challenging, we will get there. And I know God will help because he loves each one of us unconditionally.
